Dr. Brian Burrows of Color Country Pediatrics Dr. Brian N. Burrows
was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and served a two-year LDS mission to Durban, South Africa. Dr. Burrows graduated from Southern Utah University in 1998 with bachelor degrees in both Biology and Psychology. He attended St. George's University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2002. Dr. Burrows performed his medical clinical work in California and completed three years of pediatric residency training in Las Vegas, Nevada where he had the opportunity to work at both University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital. While working in Las Vegas, Dr. Burrows received the Chamber of Commerce's Excellence in Service Award. He has a strong history of community involvement having worked with The Boy Scouts of America, Junior Jazz, Reach Out and Read, Big Brothers, Boy's and Girl's Club, and Utah Summer Games. He is excited to be back in Cedar City and continue his community activity.
Dr. Gia DeGiovanni Miller of Color Country Pediatrics Dr. Gia DeGiovanni Miller
was born in Panama while her father was serving in the Air Force. The family later transferred to Thailand and Greece, finally settling in Sierra Vista, Arizona, the place she considers her hometown. She attended the University of Arizona under scholarship, graduating with both a B.S. and M.S. in Nutritional Sciences. In 1995 she entered the University of Arizona College of Medicine, graduating in 1999. She subsequently completed her Pediatrics Residency at the same institution in 2002. Her husband’s job brought the family east, where she practiced in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for four years, until moving to Cedar City, Utah, in 2006. Gia currently is married with three small children. She enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Craig Nielson of Color Country Pediatrics Dr. Craig Nielson
was born and raised here in Cedar City, Utah.  He graduated from Cedar City High School and stayed in Cedar City for his undergraduate education at Southern Utah University.  He graduated with a degree in Biology in 2001 and went to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri for medical school.  After graduating from medical school in 2005 he completed a three year pediatric residency in Las Vegas at the University of Nevada residency program.  He then starting here at Color Country Pediatrics in July of 2008 and is excited to be back in Cedar City.  Dr. Nielson is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He currently is the pediatric supervisor for clinical programs at Valley View Medical Center and also has undergone additional training in child abuse and works with the Children’s Justice Center on local child abuse cases. 
Dr. Nielson loves spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their five children.  They enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to sporting events together.  Dr. Nielson also enjoys sports of all kinds especially basketball and golf.  He enjoys coaching youth sports programs including flag football, basketball and little league baseball.
